Welcome to my Adult Education & Training Portfolio
_ I'm Scott
Foster and I welcome you to my Adult Education & Training Portfolio.
As with many trainers, I didn't originally set out on a career course to become an educator of adults, but realized my destiny due to circumstance. My former employer was experiencing tremendous growth and needed someone to help educate and prepare our expanding workforce. I was given the opportunity to assist with that endeavor, and it was then that I realized my passion for teaching.
Since 1999 I have been helping employers, employees, and adult students realize their potential. Currently, I am a graduate student at Colorado State University working towards an M.Ed. in Education and Human Resource Studies and a part time adjunct Adult Basic Education Instructor at Rio Salado College in Avondale, Arizona.
As an educator, I am afforded a unique and endearing opportunity. I get to help people improve their careers and their lives. By helping them gain a better understanding of their jobs and their world, they are better equipped to grow and succeed. That not only affects them, but it affects their families and others that surround them. The satisfaction that I derive knowing this is immeasurable. It's the reason why I love being an educator of adults.
This site presents my educational philosophy, biographical information, and a sampling of my work to date as both a practitioner and student of the art and science of Adult Education and Training. I hope by sharing this information, you will gain an understanding of my mission, my purpose, and my devotion to helping others through adult education and training.
